Monastery of Porta Panagias – Ι.Μ Πόρτας Παναγίας

You will find Porta Panagias near Mouzaki in Thessaly, right across the small town of Pylis (Gate). The monastery is no longer active but you will admire the great architecture of its church. It is considered an important specimen of Byzantine Architecture and Art. The nature all around the monastery is of unique beauty and you shouldn’t miss to pay it a visit if you happen to be in the area!

Θα την βρείτε κοντά στο Μουζάκι Θεσσαλίας, απέναντι από την κωμόπολη της Πύλης. Η μονή δεν λειτουργεί σήμερα, αλλά σώζεται η εκκλησία, της οποίας η αρχιτεκτονική είναι εξαιρετική. Ο Ναός θεωρείται πολύ σημαντικός σε σχέση με τη βυζαντινή τέχνη. Πολύ όμορφο είναι και το φυσικό τοπίο. Αν πάτε προς τα εκεί, μην παραλείψετε μια επίσκεψη!
