Amfipoli - The monument of the Lion

Burial monument of the 4th century BC, possibly dedicated to Laomedon, warrior in the army of Alexander the Great. It is also called the Lion of the city of Amphipolis. It is a symbol of the prefecture of Serres, located in the Old bridge of Amphipolis.

Επιτάφιο μνημείο του 4ου πΧ αιώνα, που πιθανολογείται ότι είναι αφιερωμένοστο ναύαρχο Λαομέδοντα, συμπολεμιστή του Μ. Αλεξάνδρου. Λέγεται και Λέων της Αμφίπολης. Αποτελεί σύμβολο του νομού Σερρών και θα το βρείτε στην περιοχή της παλιάς γέφυρας της Αμφίπολης.
